Role of exercise in reducing risk for CVD:
The heart is a muscle and exercise will help in maintaing its strength and shape. During the course of exercise, the heart need to pump more blood through the body and continue working at optimal efficiency with little strain. This will help the heart to increase the stamina and to stay healthy longer. Regular exercise also helps to keep arteries and other blood vessels flexible, ensuring good blood flow and normal blood pressure and cholesterol.
Stress management and reduction of CVD:
Stress triggers reduced blood flow to the heart, forces heart to beat irregularly. This leads to an increase in likelihood of blood clotting and can trigger the development of cardiovascular disease. Living a stressful life also encourages a person to adopt bad habits like smoking and rapid alcohol consumption which also impact badly on heart.
Hence, adopting appropriate stress management practices to combat the stress will help in reducing the cardiovascular disease.
Role of chronic infections and inflammation in CVD:
Chronic disease such as obesity result in increase in thickness of blood capillaries and arteries which increases blood pressure and confer strain on the heart. Similarly, disease like diabetes increase the sugar level in the blood resulting in higher blood density causing strain on the heart.
