What are the major concerns/problems for the Travel & Hospitality services during and post COVID-19?
India is the very much densely populated country in the world (31st position, approximately 394.5 persons per km.2). In India, there are various economic, sociological, historical, political, and geographical reasons, and so, the primary health care is a very challenging task. In 2018-19, only 1.28 % of India’s GDP has spent on public health which was very much inadequate.
Nowadays due to this
pandemic catastrophe the concerned area of the government (central
and state) is the health sector and so the expenditure on that
sector has been rose, i.e., the new life-insurance of the
health-workers has been created, the new infrastructural changes
have emerged like new hospitals are being built up across the
country, recently the remuneration of the interns has been
increased.
There is no confusion about the COVID-19 crisis that has presented an opportunity to improve the health care system in India but the unemployment level, a huge number of migrant laborers, less social interactions & exercise can harm our physical and mental health.
To improve the health care system, the government has to look into these matters (my suggestions):-
1. Ayushman Bharat Yojana should be extended without lips and bounds, i.e., the net coverage area of this policy should be extended and these types of policies are very much needed.
2. Public-private partnership model in health care should be well-nurtured.
3. Spending on the health sector (% of GDP) must be increased, i.e., the consequent investments in public health systems will play an important role in improving life expectancy.
4. Corruption Level should be reduced, i.e., policy should be implemented/money should be invested in this sector with the lesser/no corruption level.
5. Poverty and inequality should be reduced.
6. The use of the technology must be increased, i.e., the data imputation and interpretation level must be increased.
