Objective
Teach the parents and child regarding salmonella, it is bacterial
that cause an injection in human through chicken,cow,pigs,reptiles.
it is foodborne illness that causes infection. the most infections
spread to people through contaminated food like
meat,poultry,egg,milk.

sign and symptoms of the illness include diarrhea, vomiting,
nausea, abdomen cramps, fever, headache. this can be diagnosed with
stool sample. causes of this infection found in feces or some
animals as a pet they carry salmonellosis when we handle them its
transfer to us. fruits and vegetables contaminated from feces in
the soil or water. it is spread the infection from several days to
weeks once infected, then symptoms treated with antibiotics. risk
factors include children and infants under 4years, people have a
weak immune system, cancer, sickle cell disease, spleen infection.,
the patient will be a treatment for infection with antibiotics,
acetaminophen for pain, and fever and need promote rehydration.
symptoms last for 6to72hours and illness last for 4 to 7 days after
symptoms begin. prevention through hand washing before and after
eating food. bathroom tips for children to prevent infection, cook
food thoroughly before cooking. avoiding foods that contain raw
eggs. eggnog, cooked tough, etc. clean the cooking area before
cooking and take care of your pets, if you have vomiting and
diarrhea avoid cooking.
Method and materials:
Prefer short and easy to read and understand materials. provide a
general overview of the disease process. relevant articles to share
with parents, newsletters, tools can be offered.
evaluation:
Observe the return demonstration about parent understanding. ask
questions to identify which area they were lacking and need
reaching, ask the parents to restate the condition and sentence.
effective feedback from the parents provides positive results.
