Our small army and navy are effective, but what should we be prepared to do
economically if we feel an invasion by a foreign power is imminent and we might have to
increase military spending? What options do we have? Which would you recommend
and why?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Ans. We need to hire more military personnels because small army may be defeated easily as other countries have large groups of army and navy. But if we exceed our groups by adding more men, it would definitely be an advantage but along with that good training should be provided so that they are tough .

Entirely increasing the workforce does not provide surity of win, but along with increasing number if the quality of training provided to them is good then the chances of win gets double and they are less likely to lose.

Looking forward - What should we be thinking about to be better prepared for the next financial crisis? Consider what kinds of actions, education, awareness, accountability, transparency, oversight or regulations should be implemented now. Consider how the following groups (i.e. financial institutions, government, central banks, households, businesses) could better take responsibility in reducing their own risks and/or the overall financial market risks. Finally, when do you think we will we have another financial crisis (i.e. approximate date), and what might...

In our lab experiment, we filtered CaCl and CaOH2 solutions that we prepared the previous week and transferred both of the filtrates using a 25 ml pipette into two erlenmeyer flasks. We then prepared the standard HCl by pipeting 100 ml of HCl to prepare 250 ml of 0.04M HCl from the 0.1 M HCl solution that we initially had. We pipeted 100 ml of HCl into a 250 ml volumetric flask and diluted to the mark. The buret was...

So in our Ochem TLC experiment. We prepared some of our solid samples dissolving them in ethanol, and we prepared our liquid samples by mixxing them with dichloromethane. My question is... Why doesn’t it matter that some of the samples are prepared using ethanol as a solvent and other samples are prepared using dichloromethane as a solvent? [Hint: What happens to this solvent after you deposit a spot of solution to the TLC plate?]
