Changes in an organisation brought new ideas, new working trends, innovation and many more new aspects.

The external forces of changes are as follows -

  • Political and legal forces - there were many political laws which were being regulated in the corporate sectors and organization have no control over it hence changes in any of the political aspects brought changes to the organizations. Transnational corporations are also being forces to changes by political forces. World wide economy also undergoes in changes which present several changes within the organisation in the form of changes regulations, policies, globalization, liberalisation etc.
  • Market conditions - it includes changes and variations of the market needs, demand, and desires. Competition is also one of the forces which force to change in an organisation. The demands and needs of the customers keeps on changing by the changing time. There were many new inventions and discoveries which cause changes within an organisation. New marketing trends are now being used.
  • Technological forces - there were high enhancements in the technological field by the past few years. Hence new technologies has been discovered, new ways of working get emerging in the market, various ideas and innovation takes place which forces change to the organization in order to cope up with the trending market competition and environment.
  • Social forces - there were many social issues being resolved over the passage of time which brings a level of changes within an organisation. Social issues related to education, women empowerment, sexual harassment etc has been resolved constantly which brings a positive social changes and changes in the organization as well. Urbanisation also brings changes in the organization.

Internal forces of changes within an organisation are as follows -

  • Changes related to any managerial personnel - old managers are being replaced by new managers due to retirement, inefficiency in work, transfer, dismissal or promotion.
  • Deficiency in existing organization - lack of any working methods, organisational arrangements, lack of uniformity in policy decisions, lack of cooperation within the organisation also brings changes in these aspects in order to enhances the overall performance and scenario of the organisation in positive ways.
  • Nature of the workforce - the nature of the workforce get changes over the time hence for integrating different work values of the generations, workforce should be changed with the need of the time and organization.
  • To avoid developing inertia - organizational changes takes place in order to avoid the developing inertia or inflexibility within an organisation.

Culture led transformation less rigorous and required a fundamental sound set of changes objectives and discipline in perceiving changes. Culture perform a diagnosis, identifies few behaviour, capitalize employees few behaviour and environment and engage in managing the change recipe within an organisation.

Leaders should have to create an environment that provide clarity around the issues, collaborate all the members of the organization with the proposed unplanned changes. every points should be make clear and proper needed training should have to be provided to all the members of the organization. Leader have to build up a solid ecosystem within the organisation which provide courageously thinking and challenging the old way of doing things create competitive advantages.
