Using these systems allows coaches and higher-level managers of the NFL to make strategic decisions based on the team’s performance. MIS plays a crucial role in improving operations and decision making. The goal of management information systems is to take data generated by the company’s operations and turn it into useful formats. They can container the capability to run certain situations which would help the NFL determine which players to play, or which plays to call. Once new decisions have been made and implemented management information systems can help you track the outcome and adjustments can be made if necessary.
