The number of sale of washing machines has increased significantly. The primary reason for this, is the increased participation of women in the labor force. In recent years, men and women both are working and it is making them with less time to wash on their own. so, People have opted to purchase washing machine for their home.

For the given period of 1900 to 1928, also there was a trend among women to work outside and in offices. This trend was getting dominant, specifically in African American Women and it got boosted after the first world war. In this period also, people opted to buy washing machines.
