1). Overload -

• It is the method which involves constantly practicing a skill or a chain of movements past performance that is requird to acheive the set goals.
• To master the said movements or expertise and to overcome or reduce the occurance of errors, quantity and quality are used to assess the performance.
• If the ability of a trainee to correctly pattern movements is not affected by the fatigue, then those movments and skills are considered to be of higher quality.

2). Progression -

• It is the method of continuous improvement of results over time by consitently increasing the intensity of training above the acclimitized work load.
• Progression can be acheieved in a number of ways such as increasing weight, changing frequency of training, altering exercis numbers and complexity, sets number... etc.

3). Specificity.

• It is refered to as the consistent imposement of a particular stress type on the body in many ways.
• It helps in the acclimitation of body to stress.
• Over a time period, body will enhance it's production level of a particular exercise.

4). Variation -

• It is refered as continuous enhancement of performance upon exposure of body to an entirely new activity or spur.
• Such kind of variation in training reduces the risk of over-injuries, fatigues from lesson and helps in maintaining the intensity of training.
• Alteration of load volume, duration, type of exercise, frequency of exercise and duration of rest may also affect performance.

5). Reversibility -

• It is a phenomenon which helps reverse the effects of detraining that causes the loss of all the benefits of training.
• Fitness may be reduced and physiological effects of training diminishes over time with a long period of rest leading body to it's pre-training status.
• However, even after discontinution, due to the lingering effects of training strength level remains higher then that before training.
