Aspects- All over the world due to growth in the population and limited source of energy, the use of renewable energy is increased and here wind energy plays an important role. for generating wind energy it is necessary to construct wind turbines.

this report focuses on the concrete support structure for wind turbines.shear and torsional resistances is an important parameter in the design of wind turbine so the design of the concrete tower is based on the torsional capacity and shear capacity of the concrete structure.

for design concrete structure for wind turbine the following parameter is take in account

1. wind speed
2. wind direction
3. climatic condition

there are two type of tower based on casting

1. cast-in-place concrete towers
2. precast concrete towers
