MASS SOCIETY:It is a society in which prosperity and bureaucracy have weakend Traditional Ties.Mass society has the ideology that small number of interconnected people control the conditions of life of the many people by means of persuasion and manipulation.

  • Charles Darwin,Karl Marx and Sigmond Freud are some of the most consequential thinkers in modern society and their influence is felt far beyond their respective fields and has their impact in Mass Society.

CHARLES DARWIN: Charles Darwin is best Known for his contribution to the theory of evolution.he theorized that all life,including humans descends from common ancestor and that changes in heritable characteristics are influenced by natural selection.Heritable traits survive or die withing biological populations based on what they contribute to the survival os species.Darwin denied the anthropocentric views that underlie many religious doctrines.He explains that "SURVIVAL IS FOR FITTEST".

KARL MARX: Karl marx is probably the thinker whose ideas mostly linked to widespread social,political and cultural transforamtions.The philosophy of marx is Materialism.He argued that the Value of every commodity is determined by the quantity of socially necessary and labour spent on its production.Karl Marx view for society is it has 2 classes 1. Bourgeoisie who exploit workers and 2. Proletariat who are workers.This is the ideology of Mass Society that some people control or influence many other people.

SIGMUND FREUD: Sigmund Freud developed the theory of Psychoanalysis which is a therapeutic mechanismthat seeks to solve the riddle of human mind through Unconsciousness.The most obvious impact was to change the way society thought about and dealt with mental illness.The most important thing he thought to society is to gave a new way of thinking about what they acted and what they did which helped the person to think about desires,motives which helped in burying of some superstitituous beliefs.
