Human resources in health care are doctors, nurses, pharmacist, dentist, social health workers, dietician, allied health workers, community health workers etc who provide direct care and management and supporting staff who do not provide direct care.
Human resource challenge are the following :
1. Shortage of talented staff : Health care manager should validate the certificate and licensure and also provide ongoing assessment, training and recertification for the uplift of standard of care. Health care manager should assess the background of staff.
2. Lack of job satisfaction : Due to the low wage and job pressure increase the stress of employees. It affect the productivity of organization. So health care manager can provide other options such as more available time off and incentives etc.
3. Turnover : Health care professional looking new position within their profession. So health care manager concern regarding the promotion and other incentive to their employees to avoid turnover.
4. Work place violence : To avoid this develop some protocol to dealing with this issues.
