Manifest Destiny and Expansionism were widely beliefs in the 19th Century that the Americans who were settled there were superior and they had every right to expand militantly across the continent in the west and stamp their supremacy . Their main mission was to bring the most modern technology , the most superior education and civilization to the west and drive away the under civilized & less privileged American Indians . Now if we talk about the whole continent it drove a lot of people away from education into slavery and into prolonged civil wars . The expansion here was not the expansion of superior education but expansion of slavery as more and more people got engaged in getting both ends meet first . So if we see on an overall basis the role of Manifest Destiny and Expansionism was extremely negative in education .
