What types of services will Medicare/Medicaid not reimburse your
healthcare facility for?
Medicare is an insurance program,it covers seniors aged 65 and
older and disabled,end-stage renal disease eligible for this
programme..medicare reimbursement is a payment hospital and doctors
receive as a result of services provided to patients that are
covered under medicare..This reimbursement goes to the billing
provider..medicare pays 80 percent of these costs..Medicare
reimbursement and medicaid reimbursement is same and payments goes
to the providers..
Medicaid does not pay money to individuals,it operates
in a program that sends payments to the health care
providers..medicaid pays out an estimated 61% of what medicare does
nationally for outpatient physician services..
While medicare covers a wide range of care, but
does not cover everything..It will not cover most of the
dental care,eye exams,hearing aids,acupunture and any cosmetic
surgeries..Long-term care is also not covered by
medicare..if person need long-term care,consider a seperate
long-term care(LTC) insurance policy..
