what are the current laws that have been passed in regard of poverty
There are many laws which were passed to alleviate poverty and reduce hunger. But the current law which is in action is "The Global Food security Act" which has been introduced in 2016 in order to fight hunger and combat poverty worldwide by the USA. The Global Food Security Act helps less devloped nations suffering under intense poverty to develop long term efficient agricultural programmes which make sufficient food to feed its nationals and reduce poverty and malnutrition.There is Temporary Assistance for Needy Families( TANF) pogramme in USA which helps needy families to achieve self sufficiencies by providing cash. Basically pregnanat ladies living under poverty or having responsibility of a child under 19 years are provided funds to sustain their lives. Medicaid which is meant for health care is also provided to the low income group who are unable to bear their high end medical bills. Housing and Low Income Home Energy Assistance programmes are also provided to people living under poverty or with low income to make them live a better life.
