Bipolar disorder is a type of the mental health disorder characterized by the manic depression as well as extreme mood swings like emotional heights or depressions.
It highly affects the sleeping, eating and thinking ability of a person and in most of the cases there is requirement of the bipolar psychological counseling
Causes of the bipolar disorders:
It is caused by the creation of the disturbance in the neurotransmitter regulation like noradrenaline, serotonin, and dopamine, if their circulation in the brain is disturbed then it may cause the bipolar disorders.
In some cases it may be due to the genetic reasons also. But the environmental and lifestyle factors also have the great impact on the bipolar disorders.
Diagnosis of the bipolar disorders:
It is advised to differentiate between bipolar disorders and other mental defects during the diagnosis of the bipolar disorders.
The diagnosis should be based on the physical examination, blood tests and imaging patterns.
The physician may use the mood charts for the specific assessment of the bipolar disorders.
Then it is advised to give emotional support to the patient so that he/she may get actively involved in the therapy.
