1. Type of changes occurs due to drug overdose.

Drug overdose happens when people take too many drugs for their body to process.So, the changes that occurs are the following;

  • if patient takes depressnat overdose, then it affects the central nervous system.this lowers the blood pressure and body temperature.and slow the heart rate and breathing.this finally lead to respiratory failure,coma and even death.
  • in opioid overdose, all the receptors in the body gets blocked and it can't perform other functions.this slows down the persons breathing.to the point of stopping it.
  • in alcohol oevrdose,leads to mental confusion,vomiting,seizure,slow breathing , irregular breathing,hypothermia slow down or cessation of breathing, cardiac arrest.
  • in stimulant overdose,excessive sweating,severe hypertension, delirium , stroke,cardiac arrest,cardiovascular collapse,irregular shallow or breathing.

2. how aterations occurs.

when there is changes in the drug distribution , it results in changes in the extent of protein binding and size of the volume of the distribution.saturation of hepatic enzymes is manifested by delayed metabolism or elimination of many drugs,

3. possible remedies of overdose.

  • Seek medical attention.
  • check the person's breathing and heart rate
  • if the patient is unconscious get the response
  • assess the level of alertness of the patient.
  • CPR IN NECESSARY CONDITIONS
  • Do no allpw the person to take any more substances
  • obtain as much as information possible regarding the last time they took the dose and how much amount he took etc.
  • if medicnes taken form the labelled container, then take the bottle and check it properly.
