2.Since the patient has a tendency to suicide the first thing we have to do is create a safe environment by removing all the harmful objects. Place the person near to the nursing station so that the nurse can easily observe the patient. careful monitoring of the patient is very necessary. Don't allow the patient to be alone. always make sure that we are with them and is there at any time for any help. always try to comfort the patient. try to distract te thoughts of the patient from thinking about suicide.

4.ECT depends on may factors. For this patient if the person is old age then he is not fit for ECT. and also if he has any previous history of medical conditions then he is not able to give ECT. Before administering ECT the physician check all those factors.
