SOME OF THE TERMS RELATED TO INFORMATION SHARING TECHNOLOGY :

1. EMR: emergency medical record ,it ia digital version of the traditional paper based record for the people.
2. ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORD ( EHR) :it is a systematized collection of the patient and population electronically stored health information in digital formate

these records can share across the differentvhealth care setting.

3.computerized physian order entry:(CPOE) It is process of electronic entry of medical practitioner instructions for treatment of patient under care

4. Hospital information system:(HIS) It is comprehensive and integrated information system designed to manage all aspect of hospital operation such as medical ,administration,financial ,legal issues corresponding to process of services.

5. Radiology information system:(RIS)It ia network of software system for managing medical imagery.

RIS is used to trackinf radiology imaging orders and billing information

6.health level7: (HL 7) refers to a set of international standards for transfr of the clinical administration data between softwaare applications.

7. Digital imagery communication in medicine:(DICOM) it is astandard for handling ,storing ,printing ,transmitting information in medical imagery.

8. A picture archiving and vommunication system: ( PACS) it is a medicala imagery technology which provide economicl storage and convenient access to images from multiple modalities.

9. Health insurance portability and accountability act:(HIPPA)It was launched in 1996, it requires the secretary of HHS to publicize standards for the clectronic exchange ,privacy and sexurity of health.
