1a) Supply chain management is the management of the flow of goods and services and includes all processes that transform raw materials into final products. It involves the active streamlining of a business's supply-side activities to maximize customer value and gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

In SCM, the supply chain manager coordinates the logistics of all aspects of the supply chain which consists of five parts:

• The plan or strategy
• The source (of raw materials or services)
• Manufacturing (focused on productivity and efficiency)
• Delivery and logistics

A supply chain is the connected network of individuals, organizations, resources, activities, and technologies The return system (for defective or wanted products)involved in the manufacture and sale of a product or service. A supply chain starts with the delivery of raw materials from a supplier to a manufacturer and ends with the delivery of the finished product or service to the end consumer.

SCM oversees each touchpoint of a company's product or service, from initial creation to the final sale. With so many places along the supply chain that can add value through efficiencies or lose value through increased expenses, proper SCM can increase revenues, decrease costs, and impact a company's bottom line.

supplier network makes a major contribution to value creation, quality and innovation and hence to the success of the business. Suppliers therefore have a significant impact on our sustainability performance and the sustainable development of society.

The organization adopt hard supply chain management and soft supply chain management.a business have large various types of departments such as purchase department,production department,finance department and Hr department etc ,the departments also have assigned work so there is needed a chain system to collaborate the all sections work together and needed a channel for work communication.the supply chain system is also used for that.basically some organisation use hard supply chain managements for that.

And next is ,the influence of global business is increased in the present world so that needed a supply chain management system for connecting the business and another one is sale service that means search customers for our product so in the situation needed a hard supply chain management system.the hard supply chain management system also helpful increase the market value of the product and demand.in this situation the company appointed the regional managers,unit managers and area managers ,they have the supply chain for the connecting customer to our product.so hard supply chain management is helpful to the company for large sale of product.

the company minimise risk, by identifying and analysing potential sustainability risks throughout the supply chain in a risk management process. Supplier production facilities that are at high risk of breaching sustainability requirements and facilities suspected of such a breach are subject to independent audits.
Second, we take advantage of opportunities and work with our suppliers to leverage potential, for example, in the area of resource efficiency, by training and enabling our employees and suppliers, as well as active involvement in initiatives and with stakeholders.

The goal of supply chain management is to avoid sustainability violations and to improve sustainability performance of our supply chain in the long run. Based on the corrective actions from self-assessments, audits and onsite assessments as well as its integration in our procurement process, we enhance the performance of our suppliers continously. Capacity building measures for supplier development like trainings and events support this development.
