Assume that you have been working on an assignment for your manager due tomorrow morning.

The team lead of a project asks you to attend a meeting in one hour on their behalf and take notes, so you can brief her after the meeting. You accept the request, as you don’t anticipate problems completing your manager's assignment.

Fifteen (15) minutes before you leave for the meeting, your director stops by your desk and asks you to conduct research on a new program for a meeting that she is attending in two days with the senior management team. Your research must be ready tomorrow morning.

a)   Describe the approach you would take to complete these work assignments

b) Tell us what skills you think are important in managing this workload successfully.

1. The approach I would take would be essientialism or in other words priority work setting,their are three tasks in front of me and all three are important but those are not the only tasks,there could be 10 other tasks in firm of requests from my co-workers or in form of orders could come from and I have to priortize these 3 tasks and say no to random requests and schedule other tasks post these tasks,by taking such an approach I am clearing my head from all the clutter and focusing only on important tasks,the second and final part of this approach is to focus on essiential aspects of projects,one cannot produce an amazing report in less than 24 hours but one can certainly pick out important aspects and present them in a presentable way,so thw whole approach becomes outer essientialism and inner essientialism.
2. The skills I think would be important to manage such a workload would be ability to clear your mind,calmness,ability to priortise work,efficiency in terms of finding what is important and self-belief as these qualities lets you focus on what is in present and say no to all the unnecessary distractions and at the same time help you come up with best possible work.
