1) a) pathophysiology of partial thickness burn
Partial thickness burns are more serious than superficial burns.because it involves epidermis and suuperficial layer of dermis.that is upto papillary dermis.the wound usually heals and regenerates in less than two weeks period of burns.
they are more painful and they can get infected easily.also if the burn affected more than 10% it may lead to shock due to lose lot of fluid from the burned area.
b)Therapeutic regimen of partial thickness burns
This type of burns should be trated with a topical antimicrobial agents or an absorptive occlusive dressing to help reduce pain promote healing, and prevent wound desiccation.
Wound management: soak the wound in a cool water for 15 minutes.if the wound is smal,l put cool, clean cloth on the burn for few minutes ecery day .Then put on a antibiotic cream by doctors order.the commonly used topical agents for burns wound are silver sulfadiazine, silver nitrate.aseptic wound care shoud be given.
Assess the wound:check the burn everyday for any signs of pain, redness, swelling or pus.if you seen any of these signs consult with doctor.
Nutritional support:adequate nutrition is very important to assist in wound healing and to maintainthe growth of the child.so extra calories and protein are needed to heal the wound.vitamin supplements also should be given.
2.a)pathophysiology of wound infection ,right foot, and heal
it is localized defect of the skin .in which micro organism have invaded into the surrounding wound.infection of the wound triggers the bodys immune system, causing tissue damage and poor wound healing
b)Therapeutic regimen of wound infection ,right foot and heal
applying medication to the wound, managing blood glucose level ,daily saline dressing, using appropriate foot wear, remove dead skin and tissue if necessery, nutritional food.
c)pathophysiology of tyoe2 diabetes mellitus
it is charecterised by intolerance of glucose due to defficiency in insulin production.impaired regulation of hepatic glucose production, and declining beta cell function,
c)Therapeutic regimen of type2 diabetes mellitus
self management education, advise for ohysical activity, immunizations, glycemic tratement, intensification of insulin therapy in tyoe2 diabetes
