Is there gravity in space? Explain why? If an
astronaut leaves his air-filled space station and
takes his guitar out into space on a spacewalk, another astronaut
will not be able to hear the
sound guitar as he plays it. Why? Moon's radius distance from the
centre of the Earth is given
by ‘R’. If this radius is increased to 1.5 times ‘R’, how would
this change affect the magnitude
of gravitational force of the Earth on the Moon? How would you
compare the gravitational force
on a 1 kg on the surface of moon with respect to the force for the
same mass on Earth?
(Given: Mass of Earth (Me)=5.97 x1024 kg, mass of Moon (Mm) =
7.4X1022 kg, radius of
earth =6400 km and radius of Moon = 1730 km)
