When designing a bottle such as a ketchup bottle wirh outermost and innermost shells, that is, how to choose a proper material to be used for each of the inner and the outer?

While designing a bottle such as a ketchup bottle first and foremost parameter to be kept in mind is that it gonna store food grade products which are having strict norms and standards. So the bottle which we are going to design must follow those food grades standards. The ketchup which we would store must not get contaminated with the chemicals that may get liberated from the bottle over a certain period of time. The material of the bottle should have high Intrinsic viscosity too so that it cannot get deformed in shape. So the best-suited material to design such bottle is PET( polyethylene terephthalate) because this bottle is made from Simply PTA (Purified Terephthalic Acid) and MEG (mono-ethylene glycol) which matches the food grade standards and can be recycled even after use. This bottle can be recycled to make fabric from it. Even this bottle can be designed to an intrinsic viscosity of 0.6-0.7 which don't led it to get deformed. On the other hand, glass bottles may contain heavy metals like lead, silica which can be harmful to health if not treated properly while designing a bottle.
