What assessment findings might you anticipate in a family that is not coping appropriately with the stress brought on by caring for their newborn? What actions might the nurse take to improve coping strategies?

There may be some times ineffective family coping result due to the born of new child.

Parents may be stressful due to the health condition of newborn. They may had the congenial malformations or they are more prone to infections because of immature immune system. So they always need special care. It made stress over the parents most of the time.

Someone had job they needed to loss their job inorder to caring the newborn. It may alter their financial setup and most of the parents get stress due to this.

Sibling reverly is the another stressful condition made in the families due to the birth of newborn. If the elder children may 2 to 6 years old they may feel inequality or feeling threaten with their parents. So it also made ineffective family coping.

Nursing interventions for relieving this stressful conditions we need to provide proper instructions to the parents. Instructed to loss their job is not a big thing is they are economically stable and explain about the government insurance policies for newborns. Proper health checkup and diagnosis of baby should be done and explain about the health status of patient this is to avoid unnecessary fear and anxiety about parents. To relive the sibling reverly proper counselling should be given to the parents as well as the elder child.
