Value clarification is a technique used in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) used to help people to understand their meaningful action and value system.
Value clarification approach:
1. Helping the patient in need without any discrimination neither your side nor by under influence of society.
2. Explain the concept of values and goals to patients to live a blissful life.
3. Explaining personal values to patient.
4. Setting goals for patients that is accurate with their goals.

Steps involved in ethical decision making are:
1. Gather the fact.
Don’t take immediate decision without knowing the fact.
All the questions who, what, where, when, how and why should be asked.
2. Define the ethical issue
Don’t take action without identifying ethical issues.
Focus on the major ethical issue
3. Identify the affected parties
Identify all of the stakeholder’s whether it’s primary or secondary.
4. Identify the consequences
Taking action keeping in mind the consequences of results.
5. Identify the relevant principles and right and justice issues
Obligations should be thought of in terms of principles and right involved.
6. Consider your character and integrity
Actions should be taken in regards of positive results and think about your decision will be remembered when you are gone.
7. Think creatively about potential actions
Always ready with many planning or solutions, if solution a fails , b implanted.
8. Check your gut
You should be satisfied with your action that is most important.
9. Decide on your course of action and prepare responses to those who may oppose your position
Consider potential actions based on the consequences, obligations and character approaches.
