Discuss the emotional effect of color
Color is associated with a persons emeotion and mood. Their are wo categories of colors: warm colors and cool colors. Warm colors are red, yellow and orange and cool colors are green, blue and purple. These warm colors and cool colors have different effects of the emotions of people.
Warm colors tend to be stimulative in nature and arousing or exciting. These colors also stumulate our sense such as food cravings. That is the reason why many restraunts use warm colors so that the costumers feel more hungry and order more food. Research hs shown that warm colors such as red can hamper performancce in indivduals. Other reesrah hs shown that warm colors make people react with greater speed and force.
Cool colors are associated with warm and peacefull emotional response. These colors are suitable for offices or homes were relaxing atmosphere is required. These colors cause less strain to the eye muscles compared to warm colors. Research on cool colors has shown that they have shown reduced crime in areas where blue street lights were operating.
