Stakeholders in healthcare are people or organizations that are financially involved in the healthcare institutions. Stakeholders are anybody who receive, provide, manages or pays for services in healthcare.

In a healthcare main stakeholders are patients, physicians, employers, insurance companies, pharmaceutical firms and government and non government organizations.

In my opinion patients are most important stakeholders in healthcare. They receive services from the providers and pay for them. The whole healthcare revolves around patient. They are the main source of revenue generation and income for any healthcare sector. The policy makers and governmental and non governmental organization lays down policies and amendments keeping in mind needs of the patient. All healthcare institutions try to bring all facilities on the demands of patient. Insurance companies gains profit from the patient population as well.
