Solutions

Expert Solution

An individual may consider donating to a certain charity with the consistent talk of being played by different organizations because the individual finds the certain charity to fit with his core values, ethos and purpose of donating. Secondly it should be noted that not all charities are created equal and the individual in question will donate to a certain charity if its ratings are very high. Ratings can be checked through sites like CharityNavigator.org. Thirdly the individual may consider donating to a certain charity only if there is an alignment of missions and programs. The selected charity should clearly and easily describe how it fulfills its mission. The selected charity provides specifics in a clear manner. Lastly there is the factor of transparency. A good charity will have pertinent information in its Form 990. The pertinent information will include information with regards to composition of board members, salaries of key employees, level of internal control, auditing etc.
