Describe inflammatory bowel disease, its clinical manifestations, and nutritional therapy.
Inflammatory Bowel disease(IBD) is a disorder in the digestive
system due to chronic inflammation.it has two type inflammatory
bowel disease and Crohn's disease. inflammatory bowel disease is a
long term ulcer that cause inflammation in the inner lining of the
large intestine and rectum. crohns disease is a inflammation of the
digestive system that involve spread to the deep into the affecting
tissue.
cinical manifestation include mild to a severe condition like
diarrhea, blood in the stool, abdomen pain, cramping,
fever,fatigue, loss of appetite, weight loss. due to severe
diarrhea and poor appetite, it causes malnutrition and nutrient
loss.
Nutrition therapy is an important treatment option for
inflammatory bowel disease. Exclusive internal nutrition and
