Our everyday life is affected by government regulations. Whatever we do from buying food, building houses, travelling, working etc. there is always a government regulation existing either affecting directly or indirectly. Tax regulations on our income to control our cash flow, regulations on health services to provide people better health care services, regulations on foods products to keep people healthy and regulations on pollution emission to protect environment etc. are the regulations through which government affects our life.

One of the government regulatory agencies is the Consumer Product Safety Commission:

It is a government agency of U.S., protects the people from consumer product which can create any harm to people; any injury, death and ill health etc.

Examples of specific regulations or issues that the agency is dealing with:

  • It bans products which are hazardous to people
  • Issues and enforces mandatory standards to maintain quality products
  • Conducts research on the consumer products to analyse their negative impacts
  • Consumer product safety improvement

The agency is doing fine when it comes to regulations. The laws and regulations of the agency are for people welfare and effective it only needs to execute them more effectively and efficiently so that people can get more benefit of the laws
