Physiological changes occur with age. All system get changes with age ,In respiratory system impaired gaseous exchange,reduced vital capacity,and limited flow rate these are the physiological changes with age .

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is group of lung diseases which block the airflow outward results in breathing difficulty.Common conditions include Emphysema and bronchitis,asthma.(Inflammation of lungs)

Symptoms of Chronic Obstructive pulmonary Disease are.Shortness of breath ,chest tightness,cough with sputum in clear yellow or greenish, weakness, Frequest respiratory infections, wheezing.

Symptoms associated with physiological changes are *Shortness of breath :In old age impaired gaseous exchange due to thicken alveoli and aretriols occurs this effect on oxygenation of blood,it results in shortness of breath. Due to decrease physical activity also it leads to shortness of breath. *Repeated lung infections:Due to old age ,immune system get weak it contribute for frequent lung diseases. *Wheezing Occurs due thick secretions in the respiratory tract.
