Briefly describe three main mechanisms that produces genetic variability in the F1

Solutions

Expert Solution

There are three mechanism of gentic variation in F1 : Mutation (genetic modification), Variation from recombination, and gene transfer. However, the reconstruction itself is not reproducible in variants unless the alleles are already distinguishing from different loci; otherwise there is nothing to reassemble. Similarly, exports cannot offer differences if the whole species is homo-zygous in parallel. Ultimately, the source of all diversity must be evolution.

Mutation

Mutations are a source of diversity, but the process of mutation itself is not evolutionary. The rate of change of genetic frequency from the conversion process l is very low because the rates of automatic mutations are low. The rate of mutation is defined as the probability that an allele copy changes to another type of trick in one generation.

Variation from recombination

The creation of genetic diversity through replication may be a much faster process than its formation through genetic mutations

Gene transfer

A mixed population that will have a positive frequency that in the middle its actual value and frequency in the number of contributors.

If one diploid yeast cell was heterozygous for an allele with a Dominant mutation on it, what proportion of its offspring could be expected to carry that dominant mutation after mating?
