Viral envelopes are lipid bilayers obtained from the cellular membranes like nuclear membrane, endoplasmic reticulum, plasma membrane etc.Viral proteins are often associated with or inserted into the membrane which deals with adsorption, entry and exit of substances in and out of cell; and interaction with immune system components.

B. Hollow spike proteins on the capsid fulfill the provision of safe and secure and pathway for conducting nucleic acid to the targets.

It is the structure of the spikes that usually get evolved and makes the viral outbreak a serious threat to control.

Spike proteins are tested for viral infections in certain diseases outbreaks to predict the spread, prevalence.
