Select a suitable site and design are Cantiliver Sheet Pile Retaining Wall in Clay soils, your design and retaining wall proportioning should be based on sound engineering judgement; vis-à-vis height of the soil to be retained, stability analysis, cost, available space and aesthetic.
Sheet piles walls are retaining walls constructed to retain earth, water, or any other fill materials. These walls are thinner in section as compared to masonry walls. These are generally used for following conditions:
1). Water front structure ( example:- in building wharfs, quays and piers).
2). Building diversion dams, such as cofferdams.
3). River bank protection.
4). Retaining the sides of cuts made in earth.
Cantilever sheet pile retaining walls in clay soils (cohesive soil):
These are used as floodwall or as earth retaining walls with low wall heights( 3 to 5 meter or less ).
Because cantilever walls derive their support solely from the foundation soils, they may be installed in relatively close proximity to existing structures.
