The six building blocks for successful change can be listed and briefly discussed as given below :-

1. A focused vision - It is important to have a clear vision about change and goals the organization wants to achieve. It channelizes the efforts of the organization about the effect of the change and the role of the teams involved in the change process.  

2. Guiding Values - It is important through the change process that the organization follows the values and its mission defining its existence and purpose. The organizational values and culture help to guide the change process as the value define the behaviour and team culture.

3. Personal Incentives - The change process involves considerable risks and efforts for the teams and members of the organization. If there is proper communication of the benefits from the change for them, it increases their morale and motivation to change process and provide support for the change process as it helps them to grow and benefit from it.

4. Supporting resources - The change process may involve need for upgradation of technology, hiring skilled employees and initiating new processes and systems which may require resources in terms of money, human resources, expertise for accomplishing the change. It is important to plan and mobilize the resources required for the change.

5. Sound Judgement - Apart from the goals for the change process, it is important to take the right decisions to facilitate the change process. The sound judgement can help to adopt the right methods to save costs and time and choose the alternatives which are most appropriate as per the organizational capabilities and goals.

6. Action plan - The change process implementation needs to be supported by an action plan so that there is clarity of roles and responsibilities, the timeline for the change process needs to be defined, resource allocation and the strategies to support the change process are identified. It is important to monitor the change process and control the same for timely execution of the various steps involved in the change process with help of an action plan.
