Answer) An optimistic manager means employees do not hesitate to try new things as they get confidence from their optimistic manager, optimism of manager turns into belief where every team member starts to believe that even impossible is possible,an optimistic manager also helps team build rapport within as they do not fear which helps team face challenging situations easily, now coming to example of how such manager helps employee, consider an employee who is a top performer and wants to take a new challenge ,however it may mean they would require some time to adjust and may feel they may not be able to perform at same levels,in this case an optimistic manager will give them the confidence and belief to take on that new role without fear.A pessimistic manager means team members will always be fearful to take on any new projects or ideas, there will be lack of creativity and team will always feel that their manager will always feel that idea is not good or it will fail leading to actual failure. Now coming to example of how optimistic manager can be problematic to any employee, consider this,an employee who is planning to run a marketing campaign but is considering whether it will succeed or not,s/he consults his/her manager who being optimistic ignores risks and asks him/her to go ahead, employee buoyed by manager 's optimism goes ahead and fails leading to disappointment for leadership who were disappointed with employee 's blind over optimistic approach,so such situations can happen for employee where optimistic manager can lead to poor decision making.
