1. nursing informatics has helped to expand the role of patients in healthcare . Nursing informatics makes use of information and communication technology to integrate , process and manage all nursing knowledge available in the support of health of people .for example in case of chest pain the recent diagnostic evaluation includes electrocardiogram, cardiac enzymes and troponins, cardiac catheterization also minimally invasive direct coronary artery bipass or percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty , intracoronary stents is not possible without use of informatics technology.

2. The computer , information technology is important to nursing and health care because by this they should be able to deal with it successfully to improve quality of care outcome.The today's information technology is useful to collecting patient information , it also increase the patients safety, it improves the efficiency and performance through information system.proper planning and management is done .it can also decrease the time nurses spent in indirect care , it can also mantain the data and report of patients , help in recording a system compatibility guidelines.By the use of internet and have a common network for nursing organization and develop a forum to discuss nursing issues and help in design online meetings , also used in telemedicine or telenursing field .it provide services like education , patients monitoring and councelling through internet facilities , online library is also available for nurses to improve skills.
