Why is it important for a healthcare administrator to stay abreast of the changes to the PPACA?
Answer: Healthcare administrator is a person who direct the operation of hospitals, health systems and other types of organizations. Health care administrators are responsible for the overall management and oversight of health care organizations.
Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is the first part of the comprehensive health care reform law enacted on March 23, 2010. It is important for a healthcare administrator to stay abreast of the changes to the PPACA because health care administrators are responsible for the overall management and oversight of healthcare organizations. They need to update themselves to run the organization. They only look after the facilities and act as a leader, which include hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, pharmaceutical companies, health insurance companies and long-term care facilities.
They have to plan and execute the things accordingly, so they have to be always active regarding any healthcare programs. They plan, coordinate, and supervise the functions of health care facilities and the staff that work there.
