However in today’s day and age companies need to have a good reputation with customers, suppliers, employees, and regulators if value is to be maximized. Employees want to work in originations that make a difference so that it instills a sense of pride in them
So companies need to benefit society, not just be profitable. By being involved in programmes that improve world conditions an organizations reputation is improved. This helps it attract top workers and loyal customers, get better cooperation from suppliers, therefore maximizing shareholders value
