A salesperson must have a good understanding of the competition, customers, and everything connected with the company. Why should a salesperson take time to be up-to-date on facts about the economy and the industry?
Answer :Saleperson has a direct contact with the potential customer and attract them to purchase the product at least once. So , in order to know the nature and attributes of different customer it is important to study the recent changes in an economy and an industry . As we know industry and economy is quite large and changing day by day due to change in the customers preferences about the product. When the economy has been developed it means that there is a proper development of resources in best suitable manner.There should be proper study of an industry in which the product has been dealing. As in the market there is a perfect competition which resulted in providing identical product than salesperson has doing different selling tactics where as in case of monopolistic competition the selling tactics should be entirely different . In developing countries, pricing of the product should play utmost important where as in case of developed country, than the quality of the product is utmost important and valuable.
