Nursing is the unique profession that help the sick people to recover and provide preventive,promotive and comprehensive health care services to the patient. Adequate number of nursing staff is necessary to provide quality health care services to all.

Specialist maldistribution

Specialist maldistribution mean that the shortage or inadequate distribution of specialist nursing professional to certain area. Shortage of nursing staff is the greatest problems in the US. The role of nurse is distributed among the wide areas such as hospital, community and home care setting. This inadequate distribution of nursing staff will result in poor quality of care.

Causes for specialist maldestribution

:lack of recruitment ___proper recruitment is necessary for adequately distribution of health care personal. Improper recruitment lead to shortage of health care personal and difficulties to provide best health care services.

:increase retirement age and high turnover ___this is the another cause for specialist maldistribution. The retirement age and turnover rate is difficult to meet the adequate number of staff .

:Limited supply of nurse___the numbers of nurses professional who pass out from institution is inadequate to meet the demand of health care services .There is limited number of new nurses each year.

Emotional stress in work environment ___each organization should keep good working environment. Poor working environment or conflict work environment leads to emotional stress and results in leaving from their profession.
