The fall of Roman Empire is caused by a variety of reasons. The most important are :

• The invasion of Barbarian tribes was one of the reason. Heavy military losses were suffered by the Romans.
• Economic downfall as the Roman Empire was heavily dependent on slave labour and since conquest by Romans dried up, supply of slaves also dried up resulting in labor shortages. Lack of Technological adoption also made a financial crisis.
• Overspending by military due to maintenance of large areas of territory.
• Corruption
