On the other hand it will increase the physical and mental upliftment of notonly the mothers bualso the babies which will bring double benefit to a developing country like US in the long term, in the form of gross domestic product (GDP), as we know how much manpower can contribute for the sustainalble economic growth and development of a nation.
State government also can provide financial support to the working women for the preganancy period in the form of paid maternity leave. According to the datas collected by Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, more than 70 % of the total employed women are mothers who are having children below 18 years of age. In most of the house holds, the contribution of these young mothers is the primary source of income these mothers should be motivated any how. Financial support is very much essential. Hence it is highly recommended to provide economic benefits to the pregnant women employees in the form of paid maternity leave, considering as a part of primary responsibility of the State Government.
