What are the primary and secondary muscles involved in a pull up, bent over barbell row, quadruped single arm row, and reverse fly (dumbbell)?
Please break up the muscles into primary and secondary groups and list the exact muscles instead of groups of muscles. Thank you!
Pull up:
pull up is a strength training exercise which majorly strengthen the muscles of upper limbs and back. It is a closed kinematic chain type of exercise.
Primary muscles involved in the pull ups is latissimus dorsi.
Secondary muscles involved in the pull ups are rhomboids and biceps brachi in the upper limb and back.
Bent over barbell row:
Bent over barbell row is a compound type of exercise which majorly focuses in strengthening the middle back and shoulder shape. This is a overload strengthening exercise which reduces the back injuries and also provides stability to the spine.
Primary muscles involved in the bent over barbell row are latissimus dorsi, rhomboids, erector spinae and biceps brachi.
Secondary muscles involved in the bent over barbell row are infraspinatus, teres major and pectoralis major.
quadruped single arm row:
The quadraped single arm row exercise is which the single leg and single arm is supported to the ground.
Primary muscles involved in quadraped single arm row are erector spinae, gluteus maximus, biceps brachi, latissimus dorsi and rhomboids.
Secondary muscles involved in quadraped single arm row are shoulder rotator cuff including teres major, pectoralis major and infraspinatus.
Reverse fly:
In reverse fly, the upper limb and back muscles are strengthened by using a equipment called dumbbells.
Primary muscles involved in reverse fly using a dumbbell are posterior deltoid, rhomboids and pectoralis major.
secondary muscles involved in the reverse fly using a dumbbell are triceps, trapezius and rectus abdominis.
