Societal roles are mainly focused on masculinity and femininity. Nowaadays there has been a shift in gender roles due to multiple factors like new family strcturees, eeducaion, media and others. Most of the young adults face the stress as it is the period where they face the realities of life and should take important decisions.women likely to report money and economy as the sources of stress while men consider work as the most likely source of stress.therefore, many studies shows that stress related disorders are most common in women than men.

The most prominent resaon for stress in young and middle agedpeople is because, young adults are confused about their roles in the society whereas, middle age people gets into new roles such as getting married and become self reliant through getting a job. The socio-econoimc status and health related limitation aslo affect the emotional bamaknce and can lead to stress.
