Briefly discuss some techniques that you could use to modify the modulation index, and also, to increase the signal bandwidth for this FM signal.

  • Increasing the modulation frequency for a given level of deviation ,it reduces the modulation index and then it reduces the number of side bands with significant amplitude and then the bandwidth is reduced.
  • To increase the bandwidth of FM signal ,the modulation frequency of FM signal is reduced or decreased .

The bandwidth of FM signal are larger than the amplitude of AM signals.
