Management Information System (MIS) is a system of collecting data, processing it and compiling in a way to give a clear picture and understanding of that data. It gives a comprehansive picture and hence ease the process of decision making.
Strategy Implementation is a process to put plans into action to reach the goals set to achieve.
Management information system ensures high level of service quality and effective information sharing between all the departments in the organizations and provide accurate information to the senior management inside the organizations that helps to monitor the strategy implementation. Management information system influences the success or failure of strategic planning processes.
For Example, If a telecommunication company implements a strategy to reduce the call dropping by increasing the no.of towers on rent, it will have no means of measuring the success or failure of the strategy implementation if it doesn't have the required data and that data should be processed and be comprehensive to give the meaning to the data. Using MIS, the management can see if the call droping rate actually fell and did it paid off to spend on tower rentals by increasing customer satisfaction, increasing the overall customer base in a specific trend.
