These areas also translate into star ratings. It may sound silly, but all of the health care providers I have worked with chase these stars. What is measured becomes the goal, similar to teaching to a test. In the short run, the stars may be obtained, as many of the measures come from department of health inspections, or visits.
What does it take to improve long-range performance?
FIVE-STAR QUALITY RATING SYSTEM:-
? It is a tool to help consumers select and compare
skilled nursing care centers created by the centers for medicaid
and meicare services in 2008,The rating system uses information
from health care surveys,(both complaint and standard) quality
measures.and staffing.
In july 2016,CMS made changes to the five-star quality
rating system to improve the information consumers receive about
skilled nursing care centers
? New changes are:-
? -- The addition of five new measures.
? --Expansion of the time frame for determining the
quality metric from a three to four quarter average,
? --Changing the scoring on the activities of daily
living measures from a state ranking to a national ranking...
?Under a provision of the Affordable Care Act(ACA) these star
rating began to be used to adjust payments to MAOs beginning in
2012.
? The star rating system appears to be increasing the quality of
the plans available and care provided to medicare Advendage
benificiaries...
Performance Evaluation:-

reviews you, evaluate your own performance. Make a list of all your
acheivements and accomplishments over the last year.Be very
