1. Being a member of a professional organization is different than becoming certified as a health education specialist. Compare and contrast what you see to be the benefits of membership in a professional organization and becoming a CHES or MCHES. Aside from financial costs, do you see any drawbacks to membership and certification?

2.For a number of years, many practicing health education specialists have pushed for a single professional health education/promotion association that would bring together many of the existing associations (i.e., ACHA, ASHA, SOPHE) so that health education/ promotion would have a single professional association voice. Would you be in favor of or against combining all the health education/promotion professional associations into a single association? Defend your response. As part of your response, indicate what you think are the strengths and weaknesses of your position!

Professional organisations and associations in nursing are critical for generating the energy, flower of ideas, and proactive work needed to maintain a healthy profession, that advocate for needs of its clients are nurses, and. trust of society.

there are many benefit to joining a professional organisation and individual become a member for variety of reasons, but it is typically to advance or advocate of their career.professional nursing organisations advocate for their members and nurses in general by providing powerful influence and support needed to meet the changes in the world of healthcare. Assess health news of a people and communities.belonging to a professional nursing organisation is important for nurses of all proficiencies. Membership can enhance the career of veteran nurses or play critical part in creating successful beginning for new graduate nurses.

professional nursing organisation how many benefits for their members including continued education and leadership opportunities, networking, mentor programs,and most importantly professional nursing organisations advocate for their members. It is not unusual for a new graduates to find a mentor in professional nursing organisation. Mentoring is a mutual relationship that will develop new skills and knowledge for a novice nurse and also provides professional and leadership development for an expert nurse.educational and leadership opportunities offered through a professional organisation include participation in research, writing articles for the organisations journal, and running for an executive position in the organisation.networking is important in profession that is constantly evolving.nurses are able to work with other places to solve issues that may affect the health care in particular area in today's society it is not always want to know but who you know. It's never a bad idea to join a professional organisation and association . The keys to find the right one for you and your needs.

a certified health education specialisti(CHES)an individual that meet eligibility requirements and passes a competency based on skills and knowledge of Seven areas of responsibility of an health education specialists. MHES is a masters degree level certification that includes a set of advanced eligibility requirements certification is provided by National commission for health education credentialing.this certification requires an ongoing commitment to continuing education.

Health education specialist offer knowledge, skills and training that compliments the work of others-healthcare providers, policymakers and human resource personal.

• Assess health needs of people and communities.
• Develop programs, materials and events to teach people about health topics on manage health conditions.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and educational material s.
• Help people and find services for information
• Provide training programs for other health professionals for community health workers.
• Advocate for improveed health resources, policies, procedures and services that promote health.

There are some drow backs,of being certified health education specialist,are, it need to be a comfortable in front of group, become certified requirs taking continuing education hours and it is research intensive.

Belonging a member of organisation there are some disadvantages noticed are,

• time- National associations may have annual meetings, while, state association has a monthly meeting. That may only be one evening per month. However short the meeting is your time does have value. If you belong to a more than one association, you could end up with weekly meeting chewing up your time. Time is also involved reading the monthly news letter. Email and publications.these associations may have benefits by keeping you on top of what is happening in your industry, but downside is you are in meeting new potential clients.
• Pressure- once you join you maybe blissfully left alone. One the other hand you may receive weekly or monthly reminders to increase your pledge, take a position on A committee for recruit another members

For a number of years many practicing health education specialist have crush on a single person health education or promotion. In my opinion, I favour this concept. Because, all of the health education specialist indifferent associations or organisations have common objective such as health promotion, networking opportunities,resources and support to members in the health promotion field. While company hole in health education provisional in a single organisation, it will improve the quality of their services and they can provide effective programs address the health and wellness of all faculties and members in the organisation.

As a nurse, I also a member of member of professional organisation, SNA.(student nurses organization) as a member of this organisation I have some strength and weakness.stregths are,

*Empathy and compassion-it help to to attain success in my nursing profession

*Reliability and flexibility-I can you specialise to care everyday. It is important in Nursing profession because it may offer need to work overtime or or days off.

Honesty and trustworthiness-it is a most valuable thing needed for nursing professionals.

My weakness-in some situations in the healthcare I face some ethical dilemma to take decisions. Taking consent, regarding the exploration of diagnosis to the patients etc.
