1/ Your neighbor comes to you to talk about her recent experiences with diagnostic studies. She states, “The doctor says there is nothing physically wrong. He says I should stop being so nervous. I don’t know what he means.” How could you help this neighbor understand what the doctor means, without exceeding your role as a health care provider?
2/ Explain why you should discuss patient problems with your supervisor rather than with co-workers.
3/ Obtain a copy of a Living Will. What rights does it give the patient? What rights does it give the family?
1) Try to make the neighbor comfortable , listen to her patiently and make a trust. Now, gently explain her that doctor want you to be emotionally calm. As per doctor, there is nothing to worry about your physical condition. So, just practice some relaxation techniques to keep yourself relaxed and stay away from anxiety. You can also suggest some relaxation techniques like listening to music, yoga,meditation etc..
2) All healthcare professionals are subjected to obey the rules
and regulations of the government . In healthcare field,
confidentiality is an important part. Therefore, sharing patient
related information without the patient consent can make breach of
confidentiality which is punishable. However, it is permitted to
discuss the patient related information with other healthcare
members in the team . But, if one shares the patient information
with other coworkers who are not involved in the care, violates the
confidentiality .

A living will is a document that helps to convey the messages to your doctor or care provider about your preferences for life saving procedures in the event that you have a critical medical problem or you are incapacitated. In this case, patient gets a chance to choose the care that they wants and they can refuse the treatment which they do not wish to have.
Living will is an important legal document because it gives the family members a guidance in making decisions. Therefore, family members will get an opportunity to provide the care that the patient prefers.
